Bryan Glenn Simmons

Bryan Simmons, born May 3, 1975, in Oakland, California, was found to have suddenly departed his body on February
13, 2025.

Bryan was born at Oak Knoll Naval Hospital and raised in California. Later, in his teens, he moved back to the state of his
father’s and mother’s raising: the warm and gracious state of Louisiana. He attended college at the University of Louisiana Monroe and in this city he would live out the rest of this life.

Due to his father having been a Lt. Commander in the US Navy he was fortunate enough to spend many of his younger years in many different cities and states. His hobbies were reading and he was a life-long lover of video games. Most recently he worked as an operations technician at Lumen Technologies Inc.

While Bryan was known to be a man of few words, he was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandson, and friend.

Bryan is survived and sorely missed by his forever loving family: his mother, Barbara Simmons; father, Eddie Simmons;
stepmother, Tonya Simmons; eldest sister, Vanessa Simmons; twin sisters, Krystal Dodier and Donna Bischoff; and younger brother, Brandon Simmons. He also leaves many other family members and friends who too will sadly miss him.

And though we have lost the smile, the touch, the friendship, and happiness we gained from Bryan, we have not lost him
spiritually as he is always in our hearts and thus always with us. It is true we’ve lost his counsel and his strength but lost them only for a while. He’ll be in some good future time and future place to make a way for life.
