St. John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Beverland Conner was born January 7, 1954, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Pinkie Ella Conner and Nathaniel Conner, Sr. She attended and graduated from Carroll High School. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is where she attended church services. Beverland was a homemaker, remarkable cook, and enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. Her hobbies and interests included watching Wheel of Fortune, the news, doing crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, and dancing during her spare time. There was never a dull moment being around her. She brought nothing but laughter whenever she encountered anyone. She practically would give the shirt off her back. She will be remembered as a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and great- grandmother, and her bond was like no other to them.
Beverland was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel Conner, Sr., and Pinkie Ella Conner; and two brothers, Daniel Conner and Nathaniel Conner, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her partner, John Heckard; four sons, Tyrous Conner (Jessica Thomas-Conner), John (Isha) Conner, Derrick (Tawanda) Conner, and Antonio (Zandria) Conner; one daughter, Shavonta Conner (Kerry Beard); nineteen grandchildren, Montrell Lewis, Aravous (Myiesha) Pierce, Jordan Conner, Tyrous Conner, Jr., Josiah Conner, Cyrous Conner, Shavaryah (Torey) Hearvey, Courtney Holiday, Jakayla Conner, Jontavious Conner, Virginia Carr, Anasjah Conner, Ja’Norieya Conner, LaDericka Conner, Derrick Conner, Jr., Kenyuna Conner, Kerionna Beard, Nathan Beard and Kingston Beard; eleven great-grandchildren, Josiah Pierce, Isaiah Pierce, Micah Pierce, Jamarion Hearvey, Italy Hearvey, Torey Hearvey, King Conner, Lovely Conner, Raelynn Conner, Za’year Conner, and Nolan Conner; three brothers, Billy Ray (Anne) Conner, George (Mary) Conner, and Jerome Conner; one sister, Carolyn (Louis) Corbin; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
