Aubrey Lee Willis was born in Monroe, LA, to the late Ora Lee Willis and Joe Willis, Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age. He spent his time loving his children and others. He spent a lot of time building things. He was employed at Bradford Lumber as a carpenter in the late 1970s. He later became self-employed, doing his own carpentry. He dedicated his life to God in 1965 and then became a member of Cuba Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend E.D. Nation. He always had a smile, laugh, and encouraging words.
He enjoyed building things, fishing, playing with the grandkids, picking plums and blackberries, and making pecan candy.
Aubrey was preceded in death by: his parents; his son, Aubrey Johnson; his sister, Ella Cheffin; and brothers, Donald L. Willis, Donald T. Willis, and Daniel Willis.
Aubrey’s precious memories will be remembered by: his sons, Dominique Johnson of Monroe, LA, and Aubrey Hines of Texas; his daughters, Aubraledda Hines, Yuvunka Pierce, and Aubrenisha Johnson, all of Monroe, LA; goddaughter, Patricia Manning of Monroe, LA; aunt, Della Mosley; uncle, Louis Williams, Jr.; siblings, Joe Willis, Jr. (Cynthia), Barbara Handy, Betty Reed, Josephine Carr, Louella Clark, and Linda Willis, all of Monroe, LA, and Georgia Jenkins (Tommy) of California; and a host of other relatives and friends.
