Aubrey Lee Willis Obituary

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

II Timothy 4:6-7

Aubrey Lee Willis was born in Monroe, LA, to the late Ora Lee Willis and Joe Willis, Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age. He spent his time loving his children and others. He spent a lot of time building things. He was employed at Bradford Lumber as a carpenter in the late 1970s. He later became self-employed, doing his own carpentry. He dedicated his life to God in 1965 and then became a member of Cuba Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend E.D. Nation. He always had a smile, laugh, and encouraging words.

He enjoyed building things, fishing, playing with the grandkids, picking plums and blackberries, and making pecan candy.

Aubrey was preceded in death by: his parents; his son, Aubrey Johnson; his sister, Ella Cheffin; and brothers, Donald L. Willis, Donald T. Willis, and Daniel Willis.
