Deacon Jackson was a pillar of the Booker T Washington Neighborhood and of the Zion Soring MBC. I know this firsthand from my youth growing up on Elm St and in the SPMBC. Deacon Jackson always carried and presented himself with dignity and respect. I will cherish the memories of him and his wife with my mother and my stepfather as role models for my generation. May he rest in the Promise of the Resurrection.
