IN THE BEGINNING …

On July 7, 1946 in Monroe, Louisiana, Henry Earl Jackson, Sr. and Lillie Mae Staples-Reese were blessed with twins, they named them Clifford Earl and Henry Earl.

Reverend Jackson confessed Christ at an early age at St. Mary Baptist Church where he was blessed to be baptized by his father.

His schooling was in the Monroe area.

Reverend Jackson met and married Lucy Mae Jones, to this union four (4) children were born.

Reverend Jackson moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he met and married A. Kay Thomas to this union four (4) children were born.

After retiring from E. L. Powell Trucking Company in 1990 the family returned to Monroe, Louisiana where he and his family united with Free Gift M. B. C.

Reverend Jackson was called to the ministry in 1987 under the Late Reverend W. B. Rowland at the Rentie Grove Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1988 he was called to pastor Mt. Pilgrim M. B. C. in Hominy, Oklahoma for three (3) years. Later Reverend Jackson was called to pastor New Evergreen Baptist Church in Monroe. 

Reverend Jackson was affiliated with the Masonic Lodge for many years. P. M. Pymrid Lodge #69 F&AM, Tulsa in Oklahoma, Morning Star #81 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Reed Chapter #1 O.E.S. in Monroe, Louisiana, Isaac and Rebecca Hope #62 in Monroe, Louisiana, W.M. St. John #234 A.F.&A.M in Monroe, Louisiana and Trinity Lodge #175 Monroe, Louisiana.

Reverend Jackson had no problem expressing himself, he had an exquisite taste and he loved to dress.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife A. Kay Jackson of the home

Six (6) sons: David Earl Woodard (Phalisha) of Houston, Texas Reverend Clifford Earl Vonner of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Clifford Earl Brothers of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Donald Ray Jackson (Celetia) of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Clifford Earl McGee (Monique) West Monroe, Louisiana and Illyo Jackson of Monroe, Louisiana.

Seven (7) daughters: Gloria Brothers of Muscogee, Oklahoma, Carolyn Richard and Ashley Jackson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Yolanda Jones and Kayla Crook (Rapheal) of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Penders and Cierra Jackson of Monroe, Louisiana.

Three (3) brothers Henry Earl Jackson, Jr. (Tessie) and Clyde Staples (Dorothy) both of Monroe, Louisiana and Leon Bowman of Dallas, Texas: and a host of Grand and Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephew and many other relatives and friends   

THE END … 

On Wednesday night, April 24, 2019 at Ochsner LSU Health-Monroe Hospital, God saw that Clifford was getting tired, and He sent His Angel to come for him to take his rest, so Clifford bid this world goodbye. With his family at his bedside he went to join his love ones that have already gone, his parents (2) sisters; Hattie L. Jackson and Patricia A. Williams and three (3) Brothers; Huey L. Bowman, Aaron Bowman and Leroy Staples.   Rest on my Love, Rest on… Your Babygirl
