Morris Rochelle Ross, Sr. was born January 8, 1956 to proud parents Charles W. Ross, Sr. and the late Emily Joshua in Chicago, Illinois. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 in Monroe, Louisiana.
Morris graduated from Carroll High School and was a baptized Jehovah’s Witness. He converted to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He entered the military ranks of the Air Force and upon leaving obtained a degree as an architectural drafting engineer, working years for Terry Denmon and Associates Engineering.
Morris was a soft-spoken, caring, loving devoted father, son, and brother. Those mourning his departure, but cherishing his memories: his father, Charles W. Ross, Sr. (Bennie Lee); two daughters, Lameesha Johnson-Jefferson (Dominique) of Monroe, Louisiana and Miyoshi Martin (Chico) of Augusta, Georgia; one son, Morris R. Ross, Jr. (Malissa) of Mary Esther, Florida; grandchildren, Justavier Hall, Diamondnique Jefferson, Kiera Emery, Tamia Martin, Marquis Martin, Briana Martin, Maielyn R. Ross, Madilyn R. Ross, and Morris R. Ross, III; great-grandchildren, Aria Emery, Jerimee Isaiah Hall, and Jayce Cody Hall; two sisters, Christina Joshua and Rosalind Lumpkins, both of Monroe, Louisiana; four brothers, Charles Ross, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; Walter L. Ross, Anthony Hammond (Laonza), and Bruce Ross, all of Monroe, Louisiana; a special cousin, Delaney Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
