Michael Wayne Davis

Michael Wayne Davis was born on May 13, 1961 to proud parents, Lula Davis and Fred Martin, in Monroe, LA. He departed this life on October 5, 2019 at his home. 

Michael went to Wossman High School and Guthrie Job Corps. He worked in the construction industry. Michael attended Faith Baptist United.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Fred Martin; sister, Marilyn Jones; brothers, Danny Martin, Fred Martin, Jr., and Jerome Martin; grandparents, William and Ruth Davis; and uncles, Moses Brown and William Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Gertie Davis; his mother, Lula Hunter (Elzie); four children, Michael Davis, Jr., Donterrius Miller, Kurterrious Miles, and Timothy Hollins; five grandchildren,15 siblings, Patrick Jones, Barbara Jones, Frank Jones, Patrick Hunter, Flora Evans, Dorothy Murphy, Diane Biggens, Melinda Henry, Ruby Righteous, Jessie Martin, Emery Martin, Ardis Martin, Steve Martin, Larry Martin, and Willie Martin; three uncles, Roosevelt Davis, Benny Davis, and L.B. Davis; nine aunts, Brenda Davis, Bertha Ballard, Linon Brown, Donna Brown, Viney Davis, Ruth Skinner, Gertrude Hall, Joanna Moore, and Ruby Chambers; five nieces, Francis Jones, Latrice Jones, ShaKeitha Jones, Marilyn Jones, and Patrice Jones; six nephews, Patrick Jones, DeKarrius Jones, Delarrius Jones, Patrick Coleman, Detrick Jones, and Patrell Burton; one great-niece, Ronisha Jones; special cousins and childhood friends, Charly Richard, Jr. and Carl Davis; companion, Tina Bulford, and other relatives and friends.
