Seaman Kierra Evans was born on October 18, 1998 to Kenya Evans and Eric Cherry.
Kierra joined the Greater Free Gift Baptist Church and was baptized by Bishop Rodney McFarland, I.
She graduated from Neville High School on May 18, 2017. At Neville, she was an active member of the Navy Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps for four years.
Kierra entered military duty on January 2, 2019 at Naval Station Great Lakes near Chicago, Illinois. She was proud to enter in as a Seaman and was set to graduate from Recruit Training on March 1, 2019.
Kierra leaves to cherish her memories: her loving mother, Kenya Evans; her father, Eric Cherry; her step-father, Mack Jackson; two brothers, Eric Evans and Malcolm Jackson; four sisters, Keyania Evans, Keneddie Brown, Kosher Ard, and Erica Smith; her grandmother, Montpelier Evans; her God-Mother, Kimberly Wilson; her boyfriend, C’Vontre Williams; two best friends that were like sisters to her, Faith Williams and Nekahya Moye; one aunt, Kimberly Evans; one uncle, Lonnie Johnson (Bonnie); a special niece, Khmari Evans; a special cousin, Corey Evans (Connie); and a host of other aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
