Joseph Thompson, 54, passed away on August 30, 2019 from End Stage COPD at his home in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, he was the son of the late Mattie Vaughns and Joseph Vaughns. He graduated in 1983 from Bonanza High School. In 1990, he moved to Tallulah, Louisiana. His disability prevented him from working.
He attended Fellowship Christian Center. He enjoyed solving puzzles, disassembling objects, and reconfiguring electrical and computerized electronics and appliances. He will be remembered for his kind heart, comical, and light-hearted attitude, and his zest for life.
He is survived by one son, Trayvion Thorton; three daughters, Ja’Kai Morris, Janeccia Dunn, and Jazzaria Jordan; one brother, Phillip Thompson, Sr. (Torri) of Las Vegas, Nevada; three sisters, Patricia Neal (Robert)of Tallulah, Louisiana; Tracey Bryant (Joe) of Jackson, Mississippi; and Kimberly Vaughns of Highland, Illinois; three grandchildren, Ja’Kaiden, Jaiden, and Jor’don Watson; two nephews, Phillip Thompson, Jr. and Billy Jones, Jr.; two special nieces, Te’quilla Vaughns and Celica Vaughns; one great nephew, Genesis Vaughns; two special cousins, Marym Edwards and Sharon Brown, and a host of other cousins.
