Hattie Jackson Obituary

Sister Hattie Bell Jackson was born May 17, 1933 in Franklin Parish to the late Ella Mae Scott and the late Robert D. Hooker. She was preceded in Death by her mother Ella Mae Scott; father Robert D. Hooker; sister Leola Hooker; brother James Carroll; two sons Shelby L. Jackson and James E. Jackson and two daughters Alma D. Johnson and Linda Lou Johnson. 

Hattie was a dedicated and loving homemaker and a talented seamstress. She joined Zion Spring Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend E. J. Jones. She served on the Mother’s Board and as the Church’s Secretary.  She retired from St. Francis Medical Center after thirty years of service as a Radiology Technician in the Cancer Treatment Center.  She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and helping others within her community. Above all else, she was a woman of service and she loved God. 

Mrs. Hattie Bell Jackson was truly the definition of a phenomenal woman. She had an endearing and infectious personality with a sense of humor to match.  Her walk with Christ inspires many. Her service to her family and community sets an example for her legacy to follow. She is loved and will truly be missed by all. 

Left to cherish the memories of her love are: her husband Albert Jackson; (1) Daughter - Dorothy Bankston of Monroe LA; (2) Sons - Larry Jackson of Waldorf, MD; Michael Jackson of Monroe, LA; (2) sister Maggie Williams of Winnsboro, LA, Janie Brown (Howard Roy) of Monroe, LA; (1) brother Willie Hooker; (13) Grandchildren; (16) Great Grandchildren; (3) Great Great Grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
