Alma Jean Brown Moore was born October 16, 1939 to parents, Albert Herman Sr. and Janice C. Brown. She was the second child of five. God summoned Alma to her heavenly home Thursday November 7, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her father Herman Brown Sr., step-father and mother Rev. Eddie and Janice Brown Harris, 3 brothers Albert Herman Brown Jr., Henry Claude Brown, Norris Edward Brown and her daughter Jean Yvette Hawkins.
Alma dedicated her life at an early age. She joined New Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served on the usher board many years.
Alma was employed at St. Joseph Nursing Home as a CNA for thirty some odd years until retirement.
Alma precious memories will linger on in the hearts of her 4 sons, Michael Dangerfield (Ora Lee)of Monroe, Louisiana, Johnny Leonard (Rosie Kaye) of Killen TX, Gary Moore (Marilyn) of Dallas, TX, Donald Ray Moore (Samoan)of Monroe, LA; 4 daughters, Jacqueline Cassey (Charles ), Janice Leonard, Johnnie Burton and Joyce Hartwell of Houston TX; sister, Janice Reese and Lillie Harris Augurson of Monroe, LA; sister-in-law Shirley Brown of Oakland, California; grandmother, Francis Moore of New Orleans, Louisiana; goddaughter Dorothy Hughes of Lamar, TX and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family who loved her dearly.
